A great classic TV series
This classic TV detective series from 1959 features the detective Peter Gunn living in a coastal city never mentioned, where it seems the only music is jazz. Gunn hangs out at a club named Mother's. His best and seemingly only real friend is Detective Jacoby and together they solve the usual wide variety of mysteries. What sets this apart from the other detective shows of the era is the writing and production of Blake Edwards, and the music of Henry Mancini. Finally, the Complete Set!
This specific boxed set containing the three complete seasons of Peter Gunn is superb. It's obvious that both time and money were spent to deliver a superior product. The picture is sharp and the sound is strong. As a bonus, a Peter Gunn music CD is included.
