Best Budget GPU since the 7870
The GTX 960 is the best budget to power GPU I have seen in a long while. While the 950 is close behind, its pricetag is just too close. If you are sticking to 1080P and would like smooth gameplay that can run on High on most modern games there is not much better than this. Maxwell has many many new features that makes it very difficult not to want to upgrade with better power consumption and alternatives to V-sync and traditional Anti-Aliasing that improve look and smoothness of the gameplay without effecting the overall performance as the alternatives. This card will run games like Battlefield 4 at 1080P ultra at 30 FPS easy. When you take some other titles and turn it down a bit to the High Preset you can get about 60FPS in Just Cause 3, 45 FPS in Assassins Creed Syndicate, and about ... I use a 450W power supply and it has been more than enough to run without any errors. Along with that is the Heat, Not to mention how good the EVGA cooling has been, This card is pretty much devoid of thermal issues. It is generally the focus of the Budget savvy PC builder to find the closest thing to power in order to save money along the line to afford not only more components in total but a better overall reliability and performance in the whole set. This was difficult in the 4 - 6 series Nvidia GPU generations, they tended to be more powerful but with that they were more bold in how they priced them.

I bought this card over the gtx 770 because of the super deal on it. It is absolutely the coolest running card I ever owned even when using cuda in Linux it never goes above 75 c and it performs as well as the gtx 770 in cuda. I run this card hard in need for speed rivals and it does very well just not everything on ultra it just does not have a big enough memory bus (256) to keep up in hd 1928x1086. So if you want to run everything in ultra your gonna have to get the gtx 970 otherwise this an excellent card and will play your games with ease.I bought this card over the gtx 770 because of the super deal on it.
