For some reason I had always thought that this was a greatest-hits type of CD. It's a good album and it gets good ratings from the critics. There are some good tunes on it.

Peak Album for Sabbath
What can I say about Vol 4 that hasn't already been said? other than if your a fan of the early Black Sabbath (the OZZY years). true fans already know this as the 2nd album of the more popular sound for B.S. and the over The next 4 albums would follow this same tone first starting with Master of Reality, which took the band out of the dark cultish satanic sound of the first 2 albums tunes like "BLACK SABBATH" and "IRON MAN" gave way to a new sound like "SWEET LEAF" and "INTO THE VOID". Vol 4 holds some of the bands best work like "SNOWBLIND" and the immortal "CHANGES" still sounds as great today as it did when I first heard it back in High School. From the first day Vol 4 hit the store's I was sold, this is as good ... Classic Sabbath
This is one of most underated of Black Sabbaths 70's decade of power. The songs still sound good today thirty years later. Warner Brothers did a great job of recording Black Sabbath and remained thier label throughout thier career. The song that most are familiar with "Snowblind" is only one of good songs on this album. "Tommorrows Dream" continues to be one of my all time fav's. No Black Sabbath collection is complete without this album. If you are reading this there is not much more I can say than its Sabbath featuring Ozzy Osbourne on vocals. Sabbath brought the world Heavy Metal and they have continued to be recognized for that decades later. There music has stood the test of time! Buy every Sabbath CD in the Ozzy Osbourne era and you wont be disappointed! The Dio years were good too, but in my opinion, Ozzy is what "made" Sabbath what they are today, and were then.If you are reading this there is not much more I can say than its Sabbath featuring Ozzy Osbourne on vocals.
