    We're saving $10G by building our own Server on eBay!

    It's time for a server upgrade and we were quoted over $10,000 for the hardware, software and migration. But what if we used the same software and just built our own server from scratch? Well, we're up to only $500 in parts and now have extra Hard Drives (as RAID replacements), extra Power Supplies (they ALWAYS are first to fail) and ended up with an entire extra Server to boot! Our total savings? Well, let's just say there's enough left over to buy a Congressman or two!

    Seagate Hard Drive , ST3120026A

    I'm very happy with the proformance of the Drive. It is fast and reliable. I have four of them and they are great. I had one fail and Seagate covered it with a warranty.

    Seagate brand is now corrupted

    SEAGATE used to stand for quality 10-15 years ago. Since, it's been bought up by Taiwan company [?]. And since then, I have had 3 experiences of failed drives out of 3 purchases. All have failed. I am a tech and builder, and it is now policy in my shop, to have nothing to do with SEAGATE items. If you have a functioning drive, then you are among the lucky few.
