About this product

Product Information

Jenn Corbin, a lovely, slim, brown-eyed blonde, appeared to have it all: two dear little boys, a posh home in one of the upscale suburbs of Atlanta, expensive cars, a plush houseboat, and a husband -- Dr. Bart Corbin, a successful dentist -- who was tall, handsome, and brilliant. But gradually their seemingly idyllic life together began to crumble. There was talk of seeing a marriage counselor. Bart was distraught; Jenn seemed disenchanted. She needed to reach out to someone she could confide in -- beyond her mother and her sisters. Then, just a few weeks before Christmas 2004, Jenn was found dead with a bullet in her head, a revolver beside her. From the position of the body her death appeared to be a suicide. But Gwinnett County detective Marcus Head was not totally convinced, nor was Jenn's family, who could not believe she would take her own life. And how was this death related to another apparent suicide fourteen years earlier -- that of Dorothy "Dolly" Hearn, a spectacularly beautiful dental student? A star athlete and homecoming queen in high school, Dolly later dated Bart Corbin in dental school. Was there a connection, or was the answer to be found in a secret -- even dangerous -- relationship Jenn Corbin was having outside her marriage? For Too Late to Say Goodbye, Ann Rule has interviewed virtually everyone in any way related to the story -- the victims' families, police investigators, prosecutors, and sources from Georgia to Australia -- to uncover the truth behind the headlines of these two sensational deaths. What emerges is an incredible tale of jealous rage; of stunning circumstantial and physical evidence that runs from the steamy to the macabre to almost-unheard-of forensic techniques; and of a tragic irony -- a fateful discovery that motivated the killing. The definitive unraveling of one of the strangest murder investigations of our time, Too Late to Say Goodbye is perhaps the finest achievement of a truly great writer's career.

  • Crime of passion

Ann Rule is one of my favorite authors!I have just finished reading this book, a good read, I found it hard to put my book down and wanted to just keep reading it.I love how this author is very detailed, by the time you have finished you really don't have any questions that you would want to ask the author if you could. This particular author always includes photos of the victims, it really helps you visualize the victim and their family members, the life that was taken from them.I will always buy books from this author it is perfect for anyone who is into true crimes mysteries.

  • Ann Rule Books

I read many true crime writers books, but Ann Rule is by far one of the very best writer's of true crimes. She is one person that will take you into the view and life of the victim, which for the most part is not the norm. Over the years it's been the Murderer's in the true crime history that is widely reviewed and completely broken down piece by piece, so that we can, the best way that we can, try to understand or atleast attempt to what makes that type of personality tick. So, it always has been the killer that everyone remembers the name of and the where and the how's of...but, Ann Rule, take all of that and pulls it a step further, while she tries to also look into that aspect of the crime, she also brings us closer to the victim and the loved ones left behind in such a way that you ...

  • Inexpensive Book for some Excellent factual reading.

This book was so interesting; I could hardly put it down! The seller and price of the book was outstanding! Never hesitate to order anything from this seller. Her rating is Excellent by all means! I love reading true crime drama, not gorey, but interesting and factual. This book tells about two beautiful women who loved life, their family, and people in general. They had so much to live for, and were murdered just because of a man who couldn't accept rejection. He was a tall handsome, brilliant, successful dentist, lived in upscale suburb, expensive cars, houseboat, etc. What most people always dream of having. The first woman to die was a former girlfriend who was made to look like she committed suicide. Fourteen years later, the same thing happened to his wife. Neither of the ...

  • just fantastic

Ann Rule is one of my favorite true crime writers. She tells a story of two women who have loved Dr. Bart Corbin and both die with gunshot wonds to their heads. The first is Dr. Corbin's girlfriend, Dolly Hearn and it is made to look like a suicide. The police have some suspensions but are unable to prove anything at the time of the death. Fourteen years later Dr. Corbin's wife Jenn is found dead by gunshot in their home by their 7 year old son. Read this facinating story and find out how it ends.

  • Too Late to Say Goodbye by An Rule

Ann Rule delivers another in-depth study of a case that for true crime buffs may recognize the far-reaching implications of a killer who finally gets the justice he deserved many years ago. That people like this live among us is the most chilling of lessons which Ann Rule has mastered teaching most of her adult life.
