    The red ring says it all

    The 24-70m f/2.8 lives up to it's L status - producing excellent image quality even at the extreme focal lengths and apertures. It is a solid lens, which withstands normal stresses. This piece of glass is well worth investing in over similar lenses such as the 24-105mm, as it produces sharper images in my experience, with less artefacts.

    excellent optic, feel solid and good in handling.

    The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM is an excellent standard zoom glass with fast aperture. Although this is heavier than the 24-105mm f/1.4L IS USM, and does not have as much zoom, the fast aperture allows the background separation from your subject really worth the money. This glass would have been better if it includes IS, which would make this lens become more usable in low light conditions. But I think the glass is really a good buy the way it is. Until the next version come out, I would highly recommand this lens.

    Excellent lens has not let me down

    Brilliant lens. Sharp -quick and quiet to focus and minimal distortion at the widest. It is heavy as it is a fast lens but that is unavoidable for this type of lens really.

    Happy customer

    Great lens. Good quality pictures and videos. So far I have had a good experience with it. I am able to get quality close ups as well as really good wide shots.

    ..when only the best will do...

    I bought this lens as I am a Canon lens freak and this lens is one of the classical "have to have" lens. Perfect in any description, cannot fault it in any way, perhaps image stabilization would help to make it 101%...Canon have a different opinion.
