    Not Fake Reviews with JMD

I have always had a special award for this movie: "The best worst movie of all time". Pay especial attention to the "space ship". There are no words for the special effects team. A must see for '50s sci fi fans!

  • Robot Monster and the Billion Bubble Machine

This movie is the second worst science fiction mover ever made. No one who likes 1950's science fiction should miss this gem. The plot, the props, the dialog, the special effects, even the cast would make Ed Wood proud. This movie is better than Plan 9 From Outer Space that is universally accepted as the worst science fiction movie ever made. However, it beats out The Slime People, all three original Quatermass movies, Target Earth, Gog, Devil Girl From Mars. and even Attack of the Crab Monster in badness. The plot is simple. Aliens want to take over the earth because they are bored. No other apparent reason for their invasion is divulged. It takes a brilliant scientist to thwart their plans with the use of totally ineffective actions following no strategy whatsoever. Not to ...

  • Hue-Manns! Cal-cue-late and Get Robot Monster

ROBOT MONSTER (1953). Black and White. Made for next to nothing in 3 days by Phil Tucker. The 'Robot Monster' in the title is named Ro-man, and the fun started when Tucker didn't have enough money for Ro-man's monster costume. Instead, he rented a gorilla suit and put SOME SORT of helmet over Ro-man's head with t.v antennae stuck on top. The reference books say it's everything from a diving helmet to a fish bowl. To me, it looks like paper mache made over a cake box and maybe a ballon. You get lots and lots of shots of the actor lumbering around in this get up. His boss (Guidance Ro-man) shows up on the view screen from the other end of the universe, holding a stick or wand and turns on his 'calcinator death ray' by waving his hands at the viewer ...

  • The Best of the Worst

Have you ever seen "Plan 9 from Outer Space" by Ed Wood? Ever seen any other terrible monster b-movie or something in that league? Ever think... "Wow, there possabily can't be a movie as bad as that..." you were wrong "Robot Monster" surpasses everything and everyone in the worst ever catagory. Everything about the movie is terrible. The acting, the scripts, the story, the acting, the monster, the props, the acting, the special effects, the movie, and the acting. It is by far the worst of the worst. So why did i give is an excellent? Just cuase of the fact that it is the worst. I couldn't stop laughing the whole time just about. The movie does nothing to scare, But you can't help but love how they do things in the movie. One moment, you ...

  • 2nd worst movie ever!

If you like BAD movies, you'll LOVE Robot Monster! Perhaps the second worst movie of all time (Plan 9 Outer Space still takes the #1 award). The producer had a gorilla suit, a skull mask, and a $2 space helmet, and a monster was born! I think they also borrowed a bubble machine from Lawrence Welk for the "special effects". The best thing I can say about this movie is that it's only 62 minutes long! If you like "camp" ..... you won't be disappointed!!
