My father would read me "Album of Horses" at night as a young child. Every night I would look forward to hearing about the Shetland ponies, The Appaloosa and the Arabian horses. Each story is well written, even an adult is entertained as they read. Beautiful illustrations grace each page, your eyes are constantly engaged.
