Buy it if you love to laugh and love nineties sitcoms!
This show cost less than 30 bucks I bought used it plays great I'm on the first season right now and I can't stop watching it so if you wanna laugh buy it or if you have family that loves the show buy it for them. It's a good show that the whole family can bond over. So buy the show watch the show enjoy the show and love the show. Box set disc are stacked together and it’s very difficult to select episodes
The DVDs are are stacked on top of each other in 2 stacks , makes it difficult to keep track of DVDs watched ... also episode selection is very difficult if not impossible...I couldn’t even get through the 1st disc without extreme difficulty, needlessly to say the set was sent back for a refund.

I like this sitcom, because it has witty quick jokes and not a lot of cheap easy humor. It also has nice plot development and episodes build nicely on each other. It is a sitcom about a average middle class couple, who live in New Jersey with a far from average life. They have their odd and exasperating father in-law living in the basement. Which causes many interesting twist and turns which keep you laughing the whole time. In addition, the main character Doug loves and is content with his job as a package delivery man, as his wife Kerry tries and fails miserably to climb the corporate ladder in her midtown Manhattan job. I'm a big fan of the office, everybody loves Raymond and Fraiser. Great Sitcom!!
Now this what I call a sitcom! King Of Queens is in my opinion the greatest television comedy of all time, that is correct the greatest of all time. Set in Queens, NY is an all star cast featuring Kevin James as Doug Heffernan, an overweight IPS driver, that is pretty much the all american fat guy. He eats alot, drinks, is obsessed with sports, watches alot of tv, makes farting noises with his hand, and oh did I mention he eats alot. Also starring Leah Remini as Carrie Heffernan, the outspoken, strong, and alot of times mean, beautiful wife of Doug. And last but not least Jerry Stiller as Arthur Spooner, the outrageous father-in-law that lives in Doug and Carries basement after setting fire to his house, trying to cook on an old hot plate. I have to say that every character created in King Of Queens is funny, I have tried to think of one that maybe I did not quite like, but after thinking long and hard I love them all, from the quirky dog walker starring Nicole Sullivan as Holly Shumpert that Doug and Carrie hire to walk their father, to the mean waitress Doug almost fought with but ends up trying to run away scared. I have watched alot of sitcoms, and have yet to find one that comes close to the King Of Queens. I now use the ignorant word "Shutty" instead of shut up or be quite. I feel that it's nicer than using "shut up", and not quite as nice as "be quite". Even after watching each episode atleast five times, they are all still as funny as the first time I watched them. This is for anyone who loves over the top funny comedy. That can appreciate the greatness tv sometimes has to offer. Although all the episodes are hilarious, it also brings us back to reality with some very powerful and meaningful moments. The very last episode had me cracking up, but also in tears. That's what great tv is all about.

One of my favorite shows.
King of Queens is one of my favorite shows. I watched it all growing up and it's one of the shows I call my "comfort shows" because it makes me feel better when things are rough. The episodes can be cringy at times, there's some fatphobia and homophobia, sexism. But that's typical for shows from the 90s honestly. So I just take it with a grain of salt. The character arcs, the humor and the plot is fantastic and I always have a good time. This is the one show I always wish would be rebooted. King of Queens is one of my favorite shows. I watched it all growing up and it's one of the shows I call my "comfort shows" because it makes me feel better when things are rough.
