Product Information

Fuel is an off-road racing game of grand scale and open-ended attitude. The racing takes place on and off 100,000 miles of track, in a 5,000 square mile area that comprises deserts, forests, and a hodge-podge of natural landmarks of the western U.S., including Mt. Rainier, Crater Lake, the Bonneville Salt Flats, and the Grand Canyon. Players are free to explore the area as they wish, in one of the game's many two- or four-wheeled off-road vehicles. Different vehicles have different strengths and weakness in different types of terrain. Fuel is set in an alternate reality, in which whole regions of the world have been ravaged by climate change. Speed junkies now race through the abandoned wastelands, with scarce and valuable fuel as the ultimate prize. The game's single-player circuit poses particular rally course challenges, and gives players a chance to unlock new possibilities. Players are also free to create their own courses, by dropping waypoints across the map. Fuel features a day-and-night cycle and strategy-influencing weather effects, such as thunder and lightning, sandstorms, tornadoes, and blizzards.

Good game
I would have this game a rating of Good. The races are a little tough because the world is so big and not all races are on road. A part that I don't really like are the destination races, where you are times to get to a destination by a certain time, in order to get fuel points. What I do like, is that in free roam where you can go from the dessert, to the forrest and to the mountains. It's pretty insane how big the environment is. Not to mention they have a daytime/nighttime cycle (not as slow as i would like it. In the coarse of 10 minutes roughly it goes from night to day, but 9 of those minutes is day time). Relaxing & Challenging
My husband loves this game. I find him playing it during the day for the challenging timed races and at night for the free-style off-road driving "so he can relax." The scenery within the game is awesome and I frequently get called into the gameroom to check out the view. The size of the map is humbling, taking hours sometimes to get from one distant check point to another, and the ability to change vehicles while playing (different cars, trucks, buggies, & bikes) keeps the game interesting even for the spectator. This game will be a permanent addition to our library.My husband loves this game. "FUEL" Awesome PS3 Game.
I bought FUEL for my 11 year old son. We own about 50 PS3 games and this game has the best graphics of any of them. I can't believe I can sit there, watch and be entertained. The games variety is never ending - it really is exciting. See snow, rain and even tornados while you race through endless on and off road terrain. Drive to the top of snow covered mountains or check out the flight while driving off a cliff. Choose from a wide variety of vehicles from a motorcycle to a monster truck. No blood or violence making this game perfect for all ages. Highly recommended - even by DAD!I bought FUEL for my 11 year old son. Very good game
This game is very good, especially for a very early PS3 game, graphics are still better than a lot of games i have played and honestly it is a beautiful game, and anyone who says otherwise knows nothing about games because this is a great one
