Bought this to replace one that stopped working after 3yrs of service. I might have caused it's demise though. It noticed it wasn't working after completing another project which required me to turn off and on the breaker a couple of times. This is a new model than my original. To pair it, all you have to do is turn it on and off a couple of times and then wait for you Alexa or Smarthings hub or what ever you are using to control it, to see and add it in. Not for the faint of heart
These switches allow the flexibility to "flip a switch" or command google through the hub. My wife considers it a positive addition to the smart house. That said, understanding electrical wiring and sufficient resilience are required. For most people this will not be a 15-minute install. Stick with it and you will be rewarded.
