  • Hidden iie card

I only bought this mac since it had the rare Apple iie card in the pds slot... The mac was very old needed to be recapped, but other parts I was able to salvage for this for my other macs here.

  • Fun Retro machine

The Macintosh LC has a Motorola 68020 processor @16mhz. Has a maximum of 10 MB of memory and has 1 expansion port. A rare machine now so prices are all over the place. These machines went for a dollar back in early 2000s. These machines are for collecting and having fun with as I do with mine. They have all become little game machines. Fun to play on. These machines are all old and will require a capacitor job and also might have a bad HDD. Re-capping the machines is not too difficult but will require soldering skills. I did mine all myself. As for the HDD's lots of times they are just stuck so taking them out and firmly holding the HDD in your hand, flick your wrist several times to try and unstick your HDD platter. This has worked for many of my HDD's. This happens from lack of use.

  • A word on Early Macs: FUN but know what you are buying! Buy a restored unit!

Any early Macintosh from the last of the compact macs and Macintosh II's to all the 68K and power PC based MACS all throughout the 90's are fun and collectible but they have one major flaw. Apple thought it best to use SMD Surface mount capacitors which were a new technology at the time. ALL OF THEM ARE BAD AND LEAKING at this point. They need to be replaced just so the machine functions and so the leaky electrolytic fluid doesn't corrode the board and destroy it. I only sell machines that I have replaced all these terrible leaky capacitors. If you buy one have a plan in mind to replace them or you are buying something which will be unusable and destroyed. There are lots of people with the skill to replace these capacitors. Just look on the internet. As you can see from the photos this ...
