    Great quality picture and video

    This is a quality video doorbell with an amazing image in 2k. It comes with adapters that allow you to position the doorbell for best coverage. The person detection is great, it captures persons before they get to the door. Great night vision in color especially if you have ambient light supporting the environment. The Doorbell has preset outgoing messages, but you could also record your own custom outgoing message. Great dashboard on the Lorex Home app. And easy to use. When you get an alert on your phone , The image populates quickly when you open the app for viewing. Easy installation. I had some minor wifi connection issues but the Lorex technical support was amazing and they resolved it . I would recommend using a 24v transformer .     Doorbell camera went from 5 star to 1 star after awful software / firmware updates, poor service

    After owning the 2k doorbell camera for over a year Lorex decided to push a firmware and software update that completely broke the camera. It now misses motion detection at random and starts recording the video very late. You'll play back your video and it will show the person's back while they walk away because of how delayed it is. It now also decides not to record video or show video if someone rings the doorbell giving an "oh oh, something went wrong" error. To make matters worse, you can't even connect to the live video for a few minutes after the doorbell error occurs. So you can't see who's at your door at all. Customer service is a joke. All they do is have you dismantle your camera, take the SD card out and put it back in again, and then factory reset the camera. They do ...
