Synopsis
Fall in love with the addictive, suspenseful love story between a teenage girl and a vampire with the book that sparked a "literary phenomenon" and redefined romance for a generation ( New York Times ). Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife -- between desire and danger. Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite. It's here! #1 bestselling author Stephenie Meyer makes a triumphant return to the world of Twilight with the highly anticipated companion, Midnight Sun : the iconic love story of Bella and Edward told from the vampire's point of view. "People do not want to just read Meyer's books; they want to climb inside them and live there." -- Time "A literary phenomenon." -- The New York Times, With 160 million copies of the Twilight Saga sold worldwide, this addictive love story between a teenage girl and a vampire redefined romance for a generation. The best!

Have read this whole series a couple times, I loved it so much. Ordered this copy of the book to complete my collection—great value and in great shape just as described. Very happy.

  • Twighlight by Stephenie Meyer(2006)

I purchased this book because I had finally given in to the social "Craze" of the Twilight saga. I was expecting to not take hold of the story and to dismiss it after a few chapters. However, I was mildly intrigued at the beginning and 4 weeks later I have purchased and read the whole series. What I did not like about this book and subsequently all of the books, is that for the genre of young adult reading, she will pursue these diatribes about things of mild importance that could have been concentrated. There were many times that I almost put down the book in the middle of these long expositions that got very boring, very quickly. Outside of that, what kept me reading is that the story itself is fascinating, the dialogue and development between the characters is truly what makes this ...

  • WAY Better Than I Was Expecting & Not Just For Teens

I bought "Twilight" because when the t-shrits came out they sold out in a day and I was wondering what all the hype was about. I knew it was a movie coming out, but I had no idea it was first a series of books. So like always when I am curious I jumped right in. I bought "Twilight" and less than 30 hours later (I did have to work LOL) I had finished. The entire time my nose was pressed into the book I had a smile on my face and sometimes I laughed out loud at the romantic tension and casual bantering between the main characters Edward Cullen (a "vegitarian" vampire) and Bella Swan (a girl wise beyond her years who takes care of her father). Although the books are geared to a younger "high school" audience the romance between the characters is all ...

  • Twilight Saga

This story line, to me, is a very modernize love story. There is a love triangle going on that tears the reader from one side to the other from each book. While Edward has the "words" that every girl/woman wants to hear; Jacob is the best friend that can relate to Bella on a "human" side and in the NOW. Jacob has his moments in which he is witty, but far from the more Shakespearean language in which Edward spouts. Then we come to immortality vs. mortality. What a hard decision to make. I love these books. I could not put them down. I have not had books like these since the Mrs. Piggle Wiggle series was around or better yet when Judy Blume was a hot author. I hope Stephanie Meyer keeps us up to date on the Saga. I love these books and everything about them.

  • Twilight is not just for teenage girls

Originally I was introduced to the Twilight series through my ladies book club. I thought it might be juvenile because of the publisher's obvious choice of marketing the book in the "young adult" section of the bookstore. Though it is true that the main characters are still in high school and much of their everyday activities center around a teenagers life, the story itself is universal. It is ultimately a story of falling in love with the wrong person, and of following your heart and not your head (and the consequences of such choices). There is very little violence, and the sexual tension between Bella and Edward is still PG-13. The author writes in a very easy manner but is very adept at keying in to the psyche of a young girl. Twilight is a new twist on a very old story- how a vampire ...
