First class entertainment - they no longer make or match it today
Watching this show is just as traveling back to the better time and place that we miss so bad in our world today. It consists of great clean funs and humors that come along with morality and family value. I cannot recall that I have seen such high standard of entertainment quality over the last few decades. I am in the early 40's and don't think that this show is out of date. It is the great classic that they no longer make or be able to match with on today's entertainments. The stories were well written, the casts performed well on every level. I just wished that we can turn back the clock when life was that simple and society held higher values in life on every regard. This show brings back those tastes that we sadly miss these days. Get these series while you can. The first and second ... Watching this show is just as traveling back to the better time and place that we miss so bad in our world today. It is the warmest, smartest, funniest and sweetest show you will ever watch. The characters are engaging and realistic and they give us a counterpoint we can consider to today's life and attitudes. We will benefit from watching this and keeping these DVD's in our home library to see how our own life choices might be made more sensibly by looking to how Donna, Alex and the family Stone did things 60 years ago. I am amazed at how smart and nice they were back then. And if you only want entertainment, this meets or beats anything on TV today by a mile! I am always surprised when a TV show is so heartwarming that it brings me to tears, and to do so without appearing to be emotionally manipulative or preachy! The conclusion of almost every episode has me reaching for the box of Kleenex and ... It is the warmest, smartest, funniest and sweetest show you will ever watch.
