This One's a Keeper for Folks Who Love Period Drama!
The third season of this series continues in the tradition of seasons one and two: engaging characters, interesting plots, some funny, some serious story lines. I've enjoyed every episode in this series, as I have the previous series. Lark Rise to Candleford gives us a glimpse into what life must have been like in late 19th century England. Production values are outstanding, with great casting, beautiful settings, costuming, and even props that add authenticity to the entire presentation. The BBC certainly knows how to mount great period drama for television; Lark Rise to Candleford joins a distinguished list given to us by British television. If you Love British Period Movies, You'll get hooked on this one too!
I Got Hooked on Lark Rise to Candleford, Because of my friends recommending it. We all watch and Love the Period British shows like Downton Abbey. I also own Cranford, which is on the lines of Lark Rise. Country Folk Instead of the Rich and Wealthy upper crust Folk with the Down Stairs help. ( My daughter, wasn't crazy about Cranford, but LOVES Lark Rise!) I Love Both! I started watching it on PBS. But when I like something like this, I have to have it so I can share it with my family and friends! PLUS I wanted to make sure I saw it from the beginning so that I can grasp the whole story! We ALL Love Lark Rise! My youngest daughter did research, and much to our surprise, The Main Lady Character here was Lydia from the Colin Firth "Pride and Prejudice!" We were happy ... I Got Hooked on Lark Rise to Candleford, Because of my friends recommending it. We all watch and Love the Period British shows like Downton Abbey. It helps you understand why things are the way they are!

It's a very touching story set in 19th century England. The characters portray values that are very important to healthy living for families and their community.

It Works in the U.S.!!
The Blu-ray on Amazon does not work with U.S. made DVD players. Had to return it. We then purchased this DVD copy, and we were able to see the 3rd season. YAY!! Thanks ebay!!
