However you can clearly see evidence of thermal paste that was over applied and ended up on mulitple edges of the underside of CPU pins. Cleaned off and CPU works as expected.. Being a few years old the value of the 5700x3d is holding it's worth.

It was shipped in a static shielding bag, but besides for that, the motherboard had no packing materials inside the box, which was an extremely thin cardboard box.
