Good add-on for tablets, but a little dated
I use this as a webcam for my Surface, to allow me to use it as a sketch tablet on my desk while keeping my face in the frame of a video call. The only disappointment is that the picture quality and white balance is substantially lower quality than the built-in cameras. The macro lens works, and the light only works in macro mode (not a flash). It’s USB-A is also dated, so need an adapter to work with most new hardware. It would have been nice if tue button was able to rotate the image 90-degrees instead of just flipping the image 180 . Otherwise, it does the job I got it for well, it is light and easy to carry unlike most external webcams, and quite affordable. The picture is OK but not great.
I have the $10 version of this (I seem to have overpaid). -The picture is OK but not great. -The built in light is not very effective at desktop distances. -The lens slides to give a normal view, wider angle view or covering the lens for privacy. -The cable is stiff and flexible so that it holds the lens in whatever position and orientation you put it in. That feature works well. -The wide angle lens sticks out past the lip on the body of the camera. This leaves it exposed to rubbing on surfaces the camera body is lying on when face down. Great concept, but two issues make it near useless
I intended to use this camera for showing off devices I am programming around the laptop to others in meetings. Really a fantastic concept, but there are two huge issues. 1) The button on the camera that is suppose to flip the image 90 degrees only flips it 180 degrees. This means you have to reorient the camera to get it to look right, but that's not always possible due to issue #2. 2) The second and biggest issue is, while the concept is great, the corrugated neck on this device is just way, way too short. It is only 6.5" long. If it was twice as long it would be perfect and amazing. But at 6.5" it can't reach the proper height to show any of my devices properly. Also note that the LED on the camera is extremely weak. (but still nice to have) I intended to use this camera for showing off devices I am programming around the laptop to others in meetings. Quick & easy
Unscrewed the back of the GPS, took out the old battery and dropped in the new one. Connected the battery plug to the socket, then replaced the back on the unit. Works fine. Battery took about 3 charge/discharge cycles to reach full capacity (which is normal), GPS now as good as new.

The Little Kano that could…
The webcam is plug-and-play with Macs, Windows, and Linux computers (i.e., no need to install drivers). It is an excellent replacement for computers without a webcam or those with broken ones. The video quality is solid when there is decent lighting, but grainier than most built-in webcams in low light situations. Still, even there, the video is usable. The magnifier feature is hit or miss in terms of getting a worthwhile image based upon the fixed focal length of the camera and shortness of the gooseneck. The same is true for its lighting option, which is only useful for short distances. We bought 8 for my school as replacements and for use in dual camera situations.
