      The Converter Box Didn’t Last Long :-(

      In order to keep my old Sony STR DG600 receiver that has component connections, I had to get the converter box to upgrade to HDMI for my projector. Since I only wanted a format upgrade of the cables and not change the 480p picture resolution, this converter was all I needed and it worked great for about 6 movies. I was able to watch a movie with no issues in the beginning and all of a sudden I had a black screen and the converter was unable to find a connection. Sad that they don’t make things that last long anymore. Don’t waste your money!!

      Works as advertised

      This will take your old "component out" gear (mine was an original Xbox) and convert it flawlessly to HDMI to connect to newer TVs. Perfect picture and sound. Other applications? I don't see why not - this is a quality product. Hard to beat the price point too. I've seen cheaper solutions from China, but I didn't chance it. You're free to experiment with those if you want to, but this is something that actually works and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

      Super Item at Great Price!

      My Customer bought a new Samsung 65" TV to replace the one in his Family Room. Samsung no longer feels that anything other than HDMI (4) & Display Port (1). When the house was built, they wired Composite (ONLY) into the walls. No conduit, wires are stapled and the wall has no reasonable access to the TV mounting areas. Worked Like a Charm!

      HDMI for Original Xbox

      The Portta component to HDMI converter is just the ticket for original Xbox owners with newer tv’s without component ports. There is no loss of picture or audio quality. I’m very pleased with my purchase.
