It took a while for the sellers to get back to me and they felt that fair wear and tear was acceptable for the packaging. The tap is of usual Grohe high quality finish and appearance. It's not fitted yet so I cannot comment on performance, but I expect it to work perfectly. To my surprise (with my limited experience), the tap's flexi connectors end in G1/2 female unions. I was expecting 3/8; but sorting appropriate fittings has been straightforward. The tap was cheaper than many and yet is of Grohe quality.
