      Scofield Is a good teacher

      I had a Scofield KJV but upon loaning it to someone, I never got it back. I don't care for the NIV, although it is a modern translation and easy to read. Revelation 22:19 says not to take anything away from the Bible, yet the NIV has... they have totally removed God's name, Jehovah. Even the KJV has it in 4.5 times, athough my Hebrew Bible has it in over 6,800 times. Shame on the NIV and the KJV. The introduction to the 1984 Scofield edition at least makes reference to this by saying "The absence of "Jehovah" in the NIV caused a special problem." It also says "Jehovah" does not appear in the Hebrew text... while true, it does appear as YHWH, so why didn't the translaters who claimed "accuracy" leave it as YHWH? Shame on them. Imagine anyone writing a history of their family and the proof ...
