There are shooting modes for every type of photography, a useful long zoom lens with excellent image quality, and overall fantastic photo and video quality for a compact super compact camera.       Camera is good, recording time is not

      Camera video recording time is really bad! The pictures are great and the video is too, but the recording time is awful: only 2 minutes with the normal canon battery. To fix this you first have to update the firmware and then purchase better batterys.

      Canon makes some of the best cameras on the market. I have a huge fleet of them myself. This point and shoot camera is great to have. Good price!

      I bought this very same model recently from a good seller. I gave it to my sister-in-law. Then I realized that I would also like the same camera, so I purchased one for myself. It really does take terrific photos and videos.

      Great ZOOM.

      Compact, fairly simple to operate. I suggest ordering the manual. You can download it from the web but I find it annoying to learn this way. I still prefer an actual book. You can take pictures without learning but there are a lot of features available. I took a picture of a woodchuck some 200' away with full zoom, it filled the frame.

      GREAT CAMERA FOR SO MANY REASONS!

      This is an awesome superzoom camera and it's the second time I've bought this model! There are so many things to like about it. 1. It's small and lightweight enough to fit into your shirt pocket, great for a travel camera. 2. The 20x optical zoom (35mm equivalent of 25-500mm) yields sharp and nicely exposed images for such a small camera. 3. Unlike more recent models, it has a built-in GPS geotagging. Newer models no longer have this; instead you have to synch with your phone and have the phone GPS on the whole time which can drain your phone battery. With the SX280 HS you don't need to use a phone to record the GPS coordinates, and the GPS is only on when you turn on the camera (unless you disable the GPS embedding entirely). This feature was a must for me. 4. Manual control, program ...
