    Taj at his finest.

    This recording is a true masterpiece! Taj is playing his funky little banjo much of the time, and his singing is strong and personal. The wonderful surprise is a quartet of tubas! One song is only Taj and one tuba, playing an incredible instrumental duet. I used to own the vinyl LP, and now it is such a pleasure to be listening to the CD version. The recording is taken from a live concert, so the energy is high. Thanks to Amazon for carrying this superb product.

    Live music at it's finast !

    This is MUSIC ! Live , un-auto tuned... real music, by a serious group of great musicians backing an American treasure , Taj Mahal ! This recording is of a live show, and has that vibrancy , but in spite of the size of the band ( not to mention a full horn section ! ) , the dynamics are exceptional , this is musicians listening to one another ! It is a feast for the ears as well as a lesson on how to play in a group setting ! AND.......... it has Taj Mahal !!!!
