      I wish I had upgraded years ago.

      This SSD is VERY fast especially when compared against the 5400rpm 500gb SATA it was replacing. Immediately after swapping my power consumption dropped by approx 20% and I see and extra 30-40 min out of a full battery. The boot and shutdown times are around 30 seconds compared with 2+ min previously so that is a massive benefit. All in all I do not regret this purchase at all and I am planning on getting another for my 2nd drive. Works perfectly on my 2009 HP laptop with windows 7 but like any drive replacement there were a few hiccups in cloning and rebuilding the boot record. but that has NOTHING to do with the SSD and more of a windows issue. Drive arrived incredibly fast and was VERY well packed. I am completely 100% happy with this buy

      After only 6 months drive is dead

      As the title reads. 2 weeks before it completely failed Windows would take several minutes to load. It progressively got worse over these 2 weeks. This 6-month-old drive was the last thing I expected to fail. Really disappointed and not sure if buying another SSD will even be worth it. My old school 3.5 drives are still working after 10+yrs. And this takes a dump in 6 months, that's some BS.

      Great replacement for SATA hard drives.

      Great little units for injecting some get go into aging Dell computers configured with SATA hard drives. Installed in 2008-2010 lap tops and a tower. They are all functional with Windows 10 again. Boot up speed went from multi-minutes to tens of seconds. All apps are usable once more. Reliability ....well it is an SSD so should be fine, but to soon to access.

      Fast, High Quality SSD!

      I purchased this solid state drive to upgrade my mom's computer. Its performance is excellent! The ssd provides a dramatic increase in speeds to the entire operating system, providing greatly enhanced responsiveness and significantly reducing update times. Users will discover that a wide variety of tasks are now much faster, especially opening applications and moving files and data. Western Digital is doing a great job with their ssds. I have had experience with a number of WD ssds, and I have always been pleased with their fast performance and high quality.

      Great bargain vs. quality

      Easy to install and fast to boot. Backed by Sandisk tech using new manufacturing to speed things up and increase capacity. Real happy with this in an older desktop computer to make things like new again.
