    GXT4500P - best AIX GPU for multiple monitors

    The GXT4500P is the best option for adding multiple GPUs to your IntelliStation POWER (any model) or some RS/6000s for multimonitor support under AIX exclusively. With two installed, you can run two independent monitors with full acceleration which the lower-end matrox option does not allow. They work immediately out of the box upon installation with no additional configuration needed. Because they are PCI-X they can be fairly difficult to install. The only issue is that the ACE SAN fans can develop debris inside the bearings causing noise if you're getting a used card.
