    CSNY Deja Vu DVD

    This is good we see an overview of the change in our culture and its perception of war. This has been central to CSNY message throughout their musical history. It is not unusual that many of us need to be reminded of the cost of war. Are we willing to work for peace? Do we understand the effort needed to saves lives thus giveing us our humanity and self worth. We must understand these acts of war have such a cost and it simply is not the answer..... Change your thinking and change the world...PEACE NOW PLEASE.....

IN THIS CASE HOWEVER,FROM A PURELY OBJECTIVE STANDPOINT, I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THIS DOCUMENTARY FILM IS A JOY TO WATCH WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF IT'S SUBJECT MATTER. IT ADDRESSES THE MOOD OF THE PEOPLE AND THE PRINCIPAL PLAYERS DURING THE CSNY "FREEDOM OF SPEECH TOUR". HAVING SEEN THE CONCERT MYSELF IN MANSFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS IN AUGUST, 2006 I WAS HOPING TO SEE AND HEAR A BIG CHUNK OF THE EXCELLENT CSNY PERFORMANCE, AND I WILL ADMIT THAT IN THIS I WAS DISAPPOINTED.     CSNY Déjà Vu (2008, DVD)

    This DVD is about music and politics. If you're a fan of CSNY because of their music, it's maybe not what you want. Most of the live music is just parts of songs, you might get upset because the songs are cut. You'll see CSNY fans in the movie that go to the concerts but complain about their political message.
