most detectors use more than one coil, by attaching each coil to a rod , coil changes become a breeze . There is less strain on the cable from wrapping and unwrapping . I have found the best way is to wrap and tape the cable to the lower shaft then when attaching to the control box run the cable straight up the upper shaft using cable clips ,also found on EBAY, this is quick and easy and you're of and hunting !most detectors use more than one coil, by attaching each coil to a rod , coil changes become a breeze . Makes coil changes easy.
This lower rod assembly makes changing coils a snap, work in a tight area with a small coil, then switch over to a large coil for open field, very handy.

Must have for the AT Pro
Spare lower rods make coil changes quick and easy plus eliminates the need to unbolt the coil every time. All you have to do is unscrew the cable and switch out the rod with the desired coil already attached.
