Reviews
Variety - A clever mixture of comedy and horror which succeeds in being both funny and scary, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON possesses an overriding eagerness to please that prevents it from becoming off-putting, New York Times - ...Landis is...serious about making this a horror film that packs a wallop..., Empire - Carnivorous lunar activities rarely come any more entertaining than this

Additional Information
In John Landis' (THE BLUES BROTHERS, ANIMAL HOUSE) dripping black comedy, two American students (David Naughton and Griffin Dunne) on a European vacation wander into a creepy local pub in Northern England and are quickly thrown out. Stranded and alone in the dark countryside, the pair get lost in their search for warm lodging. Little do they know that they are about to be changed forever by an ancient terror as they walk along the moors on a moonlit night. Only one of the students survives a deadly attack by a supernatural beast--at least he thinks he survived, until the next full moon rolls around. Terrific makeup effects (by Oscar winner Rick Baker), clever editing, and raunchy tongue-in-cheek humor made this suspenseful and thrilling horror effort an instant classic.

Received late. Unfortunately [according to Royal Mail] seller hadn't paid sufficient postage, pictures attached. Contacted seller twice but had one reply basically saying they had paid £1.85 and was dealt with via ebay [all true]. The PO state on envelope that it was 10g overweight and it cost me an additional £1.50 to get the item I had paid for. Not in a position to challenge PO on weight, so seller may have been correct? Had I known how this would pan out, I'd have bought elsewhere.

  • entertaining film with all the right ingredients, watch it for yourselves.

i brought this product because i had seen it years ago and wanted to see it again, it was as good as i remembered if not better as i'm now older and could understand it better. the storey line is as current today as it was back then, apart from the fashions it hasn't really dates, i thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recomend it.

  • Top quality. High speed delivery. Very happy:)

Top quality. High speed delivery. Very happy:) The film is a classic and even though donkeys years old now, still entertaining. The sound track is great aswell.

  • Still just as scarey.

Bought this product for a horror film night we were having with my extended family, many of whom were too young to remeber the film. Thought I would treat them to a traditional horror from when I was their age. Did the trick scared me silly again, even though I knew what was coming.

  • Great idea but very dated.

Many thanks for allowing my wife to relive some terror from long ago. She remembers, quite vividly, how terrifying the movie was but, as with most things, the fear had subsided somewhat. All of a sudden, the movie felt dated but enjoyable all the same.
