Dual 3.46 ghz Xeon x5690 with shiny surfaces and very clean contacts were sent in separate antistatic pouches along with a long hex wrench, two chempads, and silvery thermal compound. It was enough to not only do both cpus but also my existing northbridge chip which I discovered had a bad clip pin after cpu 1 went in and I had to redo it and the NB. Now my aging Mac Pro is a maxed out beast thanks to dqupgrade. So glad I went this route instead of guys selling cpus with heat spreaders still on.

CPUS both worked great, 2009 Mac Pro runs a treat now with these installed. Shiny lapped surface as described and tools are very helpful to get the surface prepped and installed.

These work exactly as expected. They look like new CPUs, and were well worth the extra cost, not wanting to delid my own CPUs risking damage. Makes my upgraded Mac Pro hum along like a new Mac.
