About this product

Product Information

Patience Philips is a shy, reserved young woman who wants to be an artist but instead is a designer for an advertising company. She is mousy and lacking in self-esteem even when she gets her big break to work on the launch of a major beauty product for her mean-spirited, ruthless boss. But a series of events initiated by a mysterious cat results in her discovering a terrifying secret that leads to her murder. That same cat breathes new life into her, creating a strong, brave woman within her that wrestles with her previous self for control of her mind and body--a body that can now do amazing things.Academy Award winner Halle Berry is captivating as Patience, a female superhero for the 21st century. She is fearless as she seeks revenge on the people who killed her, and she attempts to save the public from the release of a dangerous product. As the Catwoman side of her battles George Hedare (Lambert Wilson) and his wife, Laurel (Sharon Stone), who he has decided is now too old to be the face of his company, the Patience side of her gets involved with hot cop Tom Lone (Benjamin Bratt), who is caught in the middle of her two-sided personality. First-time director Pitof keeps things moving at a fast pace, with quick cuts, sweeping camerawork, and pounding music. Alex Borstein provides comic relief as Patience's best friend, and SIX FEET UNDER's Frances Conroy plays a cat lady who knows the secret history of felines through the ages.

  • Halle Great As Catwoman, But No Batman Hurts the Movie!

Saw 'Catwoman' starring Halle Berry last night. This 2004 movie was trashed from when it was first released until it slinked out of the first run theaters... Indeed, when Tina and I first viewed it on the Big Screen, we had a semi-private viewing of it, only because two others joined us in the theater shortly before the movie started, doubling the audience in numbers! It was the last week it was being shown, but still.... However, I think the biggest problem was that there wasn't any Batman in the movie... we just had two great looking women, Halle Berry and Sharon Stone, and a lame script that didn't place Catwoman into Batman's Gotham City. Indeed, look at was a great response to the latest Batman movie, 'Batman Begins', to see that the Batman franchise is not dead in the ...

  • Meowvelous Cult Campiness!

It's campy, it's funny, it's great entertainment for a variety of age groups -- although very young children won't grasp the insider "jokes". Don't expect a dark Batman version here. Berry's Catwoman slinks and kinks across the screen with what can only be described as cultural dyslexia. If you like it gripping fun instead of barf-o-rama angst, this is the flick for you. I used to watch movies to write reviews so I'm a tough sell and am hesitant to admit to the guilty pleasure of this one movie. Mea Culpa. I can't wait to watch it again, if only for the hyperventilating strut of la Halle.

  • Look what the cat left in her box!!

A genuine piece of movie crap!! I kept waiting for halle berry to get down on the floor and start licking parts of her body that havn't been on film scince monsters ball!! At least then the movie might have been worth a good watch. Halle berry (who is usually one of my favorite actresses) Phoned in her role and apeared to be reading directly from the que cards -- Bratt was his usual self, which isn't a good thing for all movies and sharon stone was absolutly rediculase --- BOTTOM Line - Bad Plot, Bad Scrip and bad acting equals a bad movie, end of story and case is closed...

  • Dying to live

I enjoyed the special effects that lets you see the world through cats eyes. Halle Berry was superb in this. Combine that with Sharon Stone as an evil villian and you have the makings for a real catfight. I wish every young girl who lacks personal strength could grow up to be Cat Woman. A little good, a little bad, never knowing what form it will take, but always confident the outcome will be in her favor. Only coming when she wants to, not when she's called The soundtrack really pulls this movie together. This one goes in the favorite pile.

  • Action/Fantasy PG13 For comic book collectors.

This got really bad reviews from everybody. However for the action hero comic book crowd I recomment it highly!!! Those of us that love Batman, Superman, X-Men, Hellboy, Fantastic Four, etc. should love adding it to their collection. I did! Halle Berry did a good job and looked great in her costume. Great sets, directing, action scenes. The story line could have been better, but I still recommend it to the Action Fantasy people out there.....
