HIGHLY recommend.
Christian men everywhere should use this as a source of encouragement and guidance for moving through life. You discover other men struggle with you struggle with and you are not alone. It leads with scripture and actual examples and really dives into the deep issues men face. I plan on reading at least once a year as a reminder that I’m not alone in my struggle and I have a loving, living Father and other men in my corner with me.Christian men everywhere should use this as a source of encouragement and guidance for moving through life. This is a wonderful book for all men to read. I bought this for a male friend of mine. This author is wonderful and his wife wrote the companion book for women, which I have. A great Christian book to let men know who wonderfully they are made and what their potential can be with God to guide them. Thank you Seller for this book. It is used, and has highlighting & some writing in it, but the book is completely in tact and readable. This is a wonderful book for all men to read. I bought this for a male friend of mine. This is a must read book for all men and also women who want to understand mens heart. Full of wonderful insights. I bought this book because I had read the other book by the author's wife, called "Captivating" which is addressed to women. Since I was really blessed by it, I wanted to understand the men in my live. What are their biggest fears, what questions are deep inside their souls, how can I encourage them better, and how I can be a better woman being around the men I love in my life (my father, my brother, my best friends and boyfriend). It is nicely written and easy to understand. The perfect book to read when one decides to find out the core of a man's soul and what would stir his heart back into life. We are reminded that God wants all of us to be alive as His image bearer, and ... This is a must read book for all men and also women who want to understand mens heart. Full of wonderful insights. John and Staci Eldridge and friends have a different spin on the life in Christ than more orthodox and traditional philosophies. The very substantial spirituality that they embody is very appealing and certainly isn't some radical offshoot and not denominational. There is an advocacy of a life style that it may take readying more of John's books than this one. This is directed to men, by the way with a developmental current which isn't to say that women won't find it equally resonating. His writing style is such that there is no chore at all in long reading sessions.
