Always possible to find the perfect recipe for the occasion.
I have worn out my Cooky Book, one of the original from the 60's and it is now rubber banded together. In the past I obtained copies for each of my two daughters, in each I copied the comments I had made over the years by the appropriate recipes. Now I am doing the same for the granddaughters. This is a marvelous collection of cookie recipes and was excited to find it still being published. Great Book~Get this one if you can!
I LUV to bake and am always looking for new things to make....I make certain cookies, candies, fudges at Christmas time but each year I add a couple of new ones that I have never made. I am ALWAYS looking for new ideas! I give LOTS of cookies, candies and fudges away @ Christmas. I collect vintage cookboks, and this one was not technically a vintage but a reproduction and that is ok with me because I plan to use it a LOT and wouldn't want to possibly damage a vintage cookbook (have to be REALLY careful with them). This book has all the "QUAINTNESS" of the original. It had many cookies that I had never even heard of, but want to try. Amazing purchase
Cannot believe that this book from the 60s was still in the original packaging! My mom and I spent lots of happy years baking from our copy, but it got lost in her move. It was wonderful to surprise her with this!

Good title very accurate with using year for book
I bought this to give to my son. I have the original that I chose cookies from as a child and now he can have a copy of the book he has always chosen cookies from. He'll be done with college in a few years and when he's on his own I'll give it to him. This is a great copy of the original and in wonderful condition. I've never purchased a copy of one of these books and the vintage are always in less than wonderful condition so this is perfect for me and will be as a gift to a young person who may not care about the vintage factor.I bought this to give to my son. This "Cooky" book from the 1960's is the best cookie book ever published. I grew up with this cookbook and I have fond memories of baking some of the scrumptious cookie recipes in this treasured book. It is full of just about every cookie recipe you can imagine, from the basic peanut butter cookie to lace cookies and painted cookies. Some of our personal favorite recipes are Mary's Sugar Cookies, Spritz Cookies, Fudge Meltaways, and Cream Pralines. You will love this book, and your kids will too.
