    Details the Real War in Vietnam

    Major Plaster gives you a well crafted history of the Studies Observation Group (SOG) that inspires you to keep reading the brave actions of these dedicated men, to the point that you may just not put it down until you are finished. The behind enemy lines accounts of what was not being told to the public is just sunning. SOG operations were aimed at the heart of disrupting and defeating the NVA, yet the politics of the time ignored these accounts. You will learn how the NVA transported and hid supplies in Laos and Cambodia, moved rapidly through the jungle and how much they feared our SOG teams. This is an excellent read.

    Extremely well written and documented.

    Unbelievable what these soldiers and airmen did and behind the lines. The written as a timeline historical overview while adding accounts durning those periods discussed. Reading this book pulls all the other first person authors stories together.

    S.O.G. by John L. Plaster

    John Plaster has written the definitive book on the activities of the “Studies and Observation Group” during the war in Vietnam. Too many aspects of this war were swept under the carpet and kept secret from the American public during the war. As an aviator who supported SOG, I feel liberated now that our story is finally being told.
