Don't waste time cleaning the screens
Think about it, you will spend more time cleaning the screens and it removing the old Vtec solenoid. Why not just buy this brand new one, and save yourself the hassle. Be done with codes forever! Awesome product looks OEM to me. No complaints here, 5 stars

Do yourself a favor and replace this if you get P2646 or P2647 code
I started getting check engine light and car limping 2500rpm w/ P2647 diagnostic code in my 2003 Accord. Replaced oil pressure sensor, still had the problem. Replaced spool valve gasket, still had the problem. Bought all the stuff I needed to do oil changes myself, used motor flush in engine and changed my oil...still had the problem. Turned out it was a rare case of the solenoid in the Spool valve assembly going bad...and the problem would only occur from an ice cold start making it very difficult to determine if the problem was fixed by replacing individual parts inside the assembly. I could have saved myself a lot of time and money by just originally replacing the assembly for only $33. If you are getting P2646 or P2647 code and you're certain that your oil level or quality isn't ... Fixed the P2646 & P2647 codes on my Honda Accord with K24A4 engine
My 175k miles Honda Accord was having the safety power cutoff limp mode issue where the engine jerks and stutters whenever trying to do a hard acceleration past the approximately ~3000 rpm VTEC switch over. The two CEL codes found on the car were: (1) P2646 - A Rocker Arm Actuator System Performance or Stuck Off bank 1 (2) P2647 - A Rocker Arm Actuator System Stuck On bank 1 Basically, my Accord couldn't be safely and reliably driven in fear of the VTEC failing to engage due to the finickiness of the faulty VTEC solenoid. I first tried doing engine oil changes, using SeaFoam treatment in motor oil, cleaning both the front VTC and VTEC oil mesh filter screens, replacing the Valve Timing Oil Pressure Switch (37250-PNE-G01), and cleaning out the original VTEC spool valve assembly with a ... Also, don’t bother trying to disassemble the VTEC solenoid that’s held by the two e-torx screws. There is an electromagnetically driven switch that controls sliding a pintle back and forward in regulating the oil flow into the spool valve chambers. This switch is the large cylinder in the center and can be one of the root causes of the VTEC failing to engage. When this switch goes bad from demagnetization over time, there really isn’t any way to fix or salvage it. In my case, only after replacing the old VTEC solenoid assembly with this new one made my Accord drive normal again.

I seeked help from the local auto parts store near me, 110 dollars for this exact item! I received this item in a very quick and timely fashion. Installed easily and bolted right up without any modifications. Once installed, cleared code, and took my SI for a spin. Worked as it should.
