Very fitting
Excellent book - loved the setting, loved the characters, loved the story. Takes place about 20 or so years after the Vietnam War, but still relevant to this time except there were no cell phones. Very little cussing. I highly recommend it!!! I have read it and reread it and reread it!

She tells a great story. So far there is not a book I don't like by Linda Howard. Karen Whitelaw's dad is murdered and she has to go to New Orleans to identify the body. She meets detective Marc Chastain and immediately knows that he doesn't like her. Marc believes that she doesn't care about her fathers and it makes him angry. It does not take long for the detective to understand that she hides her feelings to protect herself against being hurt. Once he understands he decides that he wants her and goes after her. She goes back to Ohio after a night of sex with the detective. Not realizing that the people who killed her father are going to go after her. After 2 attempts on her life she gets on a plane and goes back to Marc. He helps her figure out what is going on and ... read ... She tells a great story. A GOOD READ! Love Mysteries! Look here. :-)
I just got finished with this book. Very Good! They ought to make a movie out of it. It has so many turns and twists, it keeps you so riveted!( At least it did to me. ) It has LOTS of mysery, action, and even romance! The story surrounds a lady by the name of Karen. She is a nurse on the surgical floor of the hospital she works at. Mom has passed away a not too long ago. So she is getting use to living alone. BUt she her best friend at the Hosp. Piper. One day she gets a call and is told that her father was murdered, and has to go to New Orleans to I.D. her Father. And that is where the story unfolds... ;-) It's a good book. I was reading it all day. ( I just couldn't put it down. ) I'm going to check out some more book bt this Author : Karen Howard. SusanI just got finished with this book. Very Good!
