Receive item in good packing condition without any damage during shipping. After checking working well but you have sent me the wrong len hood. It should be EW-73 II Hood not EW-73B. The hood can't fix nicely. Please see the attached pictures. Hope that you can replace to me. Thanks

  • Sharp budget prime lens

I bought this lens for its fast aperture of f1.8, lightweight, compact size and highly usuable focal length for close up portrait photography. The focusing is fast and responsive and relatively quiet compared to my Tamron zoom lens. The focusing does hunt in low light conditions, but the manual focusing is easy to handle (I'm used to using manual from the film days)because the lens is bright and sharp in the viewfinder. Sharpness is best from around f5.6 upwards, but still better than most standard zooms under that aperture. The bokeh (out of focus highlights) are, despite what some forums say, acceptable and no means ugly and makes a pleasing image. Combined with an APS-C sensor (1.6x crop) on most Canon SLRS (350D, 400D, 30D, 40D) it has an effective focal length of 80mm, which is ...

  • Well worth the money, a must have for any photographer from beginner to pro

I bought this lens as I was considering a prime but wasn't sure if I could live with being stuck at one focal length so I decided on the Canon 50mm f/1.8 for 2 reasons. First being that at 50mm on a crop body I was really at 80mm which is what is to be considered a great portrait length and secondly for the price of $100 is was the cheapest way to see if I would like primes. Well a month after using it I am so hooked on this lens my zooms are getting dusty, and if my framing is wrong I just move around till it's right. I also have a friend with a 50mm f/1.4 and for 4 times the price I only see a 10% increase in quality, features and functionality. Some people with complain that this lense is fragile with it's plastic mount but if you are careful with it then there is no need to worry and ...

  • Low cost lens, great for amateur photography.

I remember kind of having an idea for what I wanted - a fast Canon lens that is compatible with my 450D as well as the 5D Mark II (the camera I would get if I eventually upgrade). The lens I have been using since I acquired my 450D in early 2011 was the 18-55mm kit lens. This little lens caught my eye with its unbelieveably low cost. After reading reviews and searching Flickr for photos taken with this lens, I was pretty set on buying it. I am far from a camera buff, but this lens is supposed to be one of the smallest and lightest in the Canon line, which is definitely is. This is incredibly convenient and has encouraged me to take my DSLR with me more often, despite this lens not being able to zoom. The image quality meets my needs. Though, the only criticisms I would have to point out, ...

  • Great investment won't be regret becoz it's only 100 bucks !

This is a good lens that already gave me lots fun after purchased. I usually use this lens to take a photo of my wife. I told her this is a very expensive one, but every one knows this is the cheapest lens of Canon. She believes me because the photos are amazing! This lens is a great investment if you love to take the photo on person. On my 60d its range changed into 80. Around 80-130 is the best range if looking at taking photo on person. And it has 1.8 aperture. Amazing blur as the background. I highly recommend this lens, if you can ignore its plastic light made and this noise when focusing. Think about the budget, think about it.

  • Awesome, if you have a DSLR you need this lens.. like NEED it ;)

Does a gorgeous job at photographing things, in all honesty. I use it most for food photography. Just amazing. Will be using it for street photography next on my trip to malaysia. Works great, except when I first turn on my camera and 1/2 press to autofocus it doesn't (sometimes), so I have to do it again, or manually focus, then flip back the switch and it autofocuses fine. :)
