    Educational but didn't keep my daughter's attention.

    I decided to buy this dvd because my daughter loves her other Baby Einstein video. She is almost 1 year old now so I thought it would be a good idea to buy this video because it is recommended for children 9 months+. I've watched it with my daughter a few times and each time she hasn't acted very excited and won't watch the entire video. I found it rather boring. It wasn't until the 4th time she was finally somewhat engaged, but still didn't watch the entire video. Every child is different though. My daughter is a VERY active child. I just don't think she has the attention span to take it all in yet. She loves alot of music and movement. She is always dancing! In my personal opinion I wouldn't recommend this video for children under 1 year old. But like I said, every child is different.

    Television and videos not good for children under 2

    The name "Baby Einstein" can trick parents into believing it's okay or even good for their babies to watch it, but the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no television AT ALL to children under 2 because so many studies have proven its harmful effects on children. Studies have shown that: - for every hour of television a baby watches a day, their chances of acquiring an attention deficit disorder increases by 10%. - among babies ages 8 months to 16 months, every hour spent daily watching programs such as 'Brainy Baby' or 'Baby Einstein' translated into six to eight fewer words in their vocabularies as compared with other children their age." - brain wave activity in babies is slower when watching television than when sleeping.     AWESOME

    My baby boy loves it. I like the fact that it repeats the shapes often and it is enjoyable to watch with him. It has the basic shapes, circle, square, oval, triangle, and rectangle. It shows them things like windows, squares things that relate to everyday life. The music in it is enjoyable. All in all Great Product.

    Great!

    My daughter has enjoyed these DVDs since she was 6mos. old! They are very entertaining and have fun ideas. She loved the constant movement and change of picture with the music.

    They will learn their shapes

    Great for learning shapes. A little drawn out, if it was shorter it would keep the attention of the little ones. But overall great for the shape learning.
