    Old Westerns are the best

    I find when I watch westerns from this era...50s-60s I sleep better. I think it is the simplicity of them and the fact that right and wrong are clear. I actually prefer the westerns where real women are shown...ones who work on the farms and in the stores. But, I do understand why the women that hang around bars were necessary ... and know most of them left that kind of life and married and had families. I am so glad people rescued this series. I am 73. I prefer to have my own DVD so watching is simple and direct. Quality was good.

    Rawhide -The Complete First Season DVD

    I am a product of the 50's and 60's, growing up in a very heppy household where television was a major part of our lives. It was our main form of entertainment, because it was free!! Westerns were a big thing back then and I remember watching Rawhide on Friday nights with my family. So when these came available, the nostalgia was too much for me and I wanted them. Plus I've always had a crush on Clint Eastwood!! I watched several different ones of these that different people were selling and I bid on the one I thought was the best deal. And I got it!! And I love it!! And now I watch these episodes with my family now. Well, maybe I watch them more just for myself. But I thoroughly am enjoying them and feel this was a very, very good purchase!!

    Great western

    Rawhide is one of the best old time westerns from the past. Many hours were spent watching these old classics. It’s a real shame that quality tv no longer exists. 90% of tv nowadays is garbage. And has little or no moral value.
