    Boyfriend was there!

    I bought this for my partner. He was in Vietnam in '66 - '67. He was wounded Dec 28, 1966. He heard about it from one of his buddies. The book gives the names of the men who served with them and didn't return. He says it was one of the most informative books he has read. He showed me some of the photos of places they were stationed. He was a little disappointed that it didn't give more information about the time/places of his involvement. However, given the enormity of the war this is understandable. He was very pleased that the book was bought from the author himself, and he autographed it. He gave the good rating, and says he never gives an excellent for anything.

    Outstanding books and it is realistic.

    The book tells about this young marine recruit as he goes through boot camp on through Vietnam and returns to train recruits as a Drill Instructor. That way good enough for me but it goes on to list all the Marines killed in action in Vietnam. Great book.
