Excellent sounding Fender pickups
Certainly there are several genuine Fender Telecaster pickups to choose from, not to mention all the other brands. I don't know how any of the others sound (except for the Noiseless G4 in my other Tele). Even though these are more expensive than some, I chose these and I installed them in the new Telecaster I built. I think it is just like the maxim, "You get what you pay for" and I am not disappointed! They sound great, with a seamless transition between bridge and neck PU. I used a 3 position switch, the preferred CTS 250k pots and the Orange Drop .022 capacitor. I was concerned about 60 cycle hum with the single coils, but I coated the pickup and control cavities with 3 coats of shielding paint. I would definitely do that again, as it must be helpful because there is virtually no noise ... Certainly there are several genuine Fender Telecaster pickups to choose from, not to mention all the other brands.
