About this product

Product Information

It's Harry Potter's third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But he's got more than a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor to worry about. Convicted murderer Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban Prison and his sights are set on Harry, not to mention the bone-chilling Dementors that were hired to protect him. Adapted from the third book in J. K. Rowling's wildly popular book series, 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' on VHS cassette offers a well-planned plot and inventive surprises as viewers discover the truth about that horrible night when Harry's parents were murdered. This rated-PG movie features Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley).

    Great packaging!

I've always wanted this movie (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) on VHS since finding out it's the last HP on VHS. Shipped as soon as it could, was packaged neatly. Tho they forgot the "Be Kind Rewind" golden rule lol

  • Great product, and I appreciate that it was reasonably priced!!!!

The VHS tape was in good shape. I got it becasue we still have a small tv that has a VHS player in it and it still works. We keep it in the bedroom and when my back is in alot of pain, it it nice to watch"old movies" from it. We stilll have Hp movies one and two in VHS too . (Of course we have all on DVD) Sometimes in summer we take the small TV/VHS player out on deck, set up the citronella candles to keep the bugs away, and watch a movie. It is a unique experience, especially when the moon is out. which we do rarely, but treasurer it when we can! Summer is too short up here in New England and we want to make the best fun out of it.

  • Prisoner of Azkaban

This by far is the best Harry Potter movie yet. Prisoner of Azkaban was also my favorite book, so I'm glad that they did justice to the book. The special effects in this movie were great. The Quidditch scene was very well done, I just wished we had seen more of it. The time changing scene was also very well done. One disappointment was that it didn't explain the significance of the creators of the Marauder's Map. It should have been mentioned who Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs actually were. That's the only thing I didn't like. If you're a fan of Harry Potter you'll love this movie!

  • you should own this

What is so great about the harry potter films is that they grow with your child, they become more intellectually stimulating and more emotionally involved. This film is definately is fun and enjoyable for virtually all children 8 and up. as the Third film in the series it is you sould watch the first two first for background, and rest assured all the subsequent films will leave you wanting more as well. As this film is a bit scaryier than the first two you shouln't introduce it to you child untile there a bit older, but Your 8+ year old should be very much glued to the tv threwout... heck you'll be glued to the tv!!

  • Very Good

I'm a Harry Potter fan in the 50+ category. I think the books, films and music are great. I especially like the tapes because I can turn off the TV and come back to the place where I left off. I like Harry and friends because there is a message here, good over evil and the steps taken to over come evil. I also like the fact it is an electronically-free story. When the lights go out, just pull out your wand (or light up an Aladdin lamp)!
