This book was an interesting read overall yet a bit too concise and brief.
Painters On Painting offers the reader an insight into the minds of individual creative Western Civilization painters from roughly the early Renaissance to the late 50's. Some of the passages are rather brief, some offer personal reflections by the artist, while other selections use remarks made by other artists about the painter. If one is looking for more thoughtful information on our contemporary painters, one will be disappointed.
