Non-slip has worked great in 9° weather on slippery cement areas where my non-slip work boots struggled to grip the ground. I recommend sole inserts, especially if you're on your feet for longer than 3-4 hours in these. The reflectors are very visible even in the snow, great for oncoming traffic. Boot laces are a bit long. I've only worn these Nortiv 8 boots once, I can't attest to length of wear.
