    French Foreign Legion 1914-45, Osprey Publishing

    Readers of the Osprey military series will not be disappointed by this title, that exhibits their usual high production values. The text, by Martin Windrow, provides a reasonable sampling of the classic FFL engagements coupled with background on the FFL's colonial headquarters, key personalities and outstanding regiments. Not quite as detailed as the French language texts, but still quite useful as a handy quick reference guide...with those wonderful illustrations that have made Osprey so popular with modelers and history buffs. Recommended. LS
