    Good book if you want to know what the opera stories and singing are about.

    Very helpful in understanding opera stories. Author really knows his subject. Also entertaining because of his sometimes humorous approach to describing singers, composers, and opera plots.

    A Night at the Opera by Denis Forman (1995)

    This is a great book! If you've ever been a little bit curious about Opera and wondered what the story line of any opera you can think of is, this is the book for you! It has the synopsis' of all the classic operas and is an excellent reference tool. I highly recommend it.
