Dutch "scarlet pimpernel" uses sabotage against the Nazis~ 3 STAR
PLOT: Dutch ship builders plot sabotage as they are required to help their Nazi captors build 2 subs. VERY GOOD~ 1943 movie~ a dutch shipyard is now under the Nazi control and they get dutch "cooperation" to make 2 new nazi subs. Dutch Shipbuilder becomes Piet Hein who is a "scarlet pimpernet" carrying out sabotage under the nose of the Nazis. labeled a Quissling (aka traitor) who was collaborating with the Nazis the shipbulder is unknown to the men working for him. He cleverly helps the dutch "take over" sub 107 and it ends up in the UK~ now the Nazis are hot on the trail of him and the rest of the dutch underground workers. I liked the plot but every actor is very BRITISH and they do not even try and have a dutch accent the upper class british accents ... ON the lighter and even comical side the British actors who were supposed to be "Nazis" all act like Goering. worth the watch for the bad acting Nazis by the Brits.

A very good older movie on WWII. It's exciting and suspenseful and keeps your attention throughout the movie. Don't know if it was based on a true story, but it sure could have been.
