The Intel Visualization Technology with the Intel Core 2 Quad processor socket improves the robustness and flexibility of traditional software. It aids when running virtualization platforms. The instruction set is a 64-bit and it does have idle states. This device has Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology and Thermal Monitoring Technologies. The SpeedStep technology allows for high performance while also ensuring all of the different energy-conservation needs are met on mobile systems. This type of technology builds upon the processor architecture using different design strategies like separating between clock partitioning and recovery, and frequency and voltage. The Intel Core 2 socket takes advantage of Trusted Execution Technology. This helps to keep the network safer while using do things like browse the Internet.     Speed for the money.

    What caught my attention was the Quad Core and the L3 Cache of 12mb. I Installed the processor in a Gigabyte G41MT and 8gb of DDR3 Ram. It is performing very well. I have an after market cooler on the processor and it keeps the temperature down. Good processor. Thanks, terry

    Not Awesome, but an awesome upgrade.

    This processor isn't a top of the line anything, but it turned my old POS computer into something that I can actually use to stream to Twitch IRL. The CPU runs at about 80% while I'm streaming 2 cams and playing music on youtube. Again, it's nothing special, but it's a nice upgrade since I was using only a dual core previously. Went in no problem and the computer booted right up.

    Probably one of the best cpu for the motherboard 775 it is easy to install just need Thermal paste and my desktop is resurrected don't think it just buy it for its price you want get any better

    LGA 775's last huurah

    bought this to squeeze a little life out of my favorite ultra stable Win 7 machine. With a 1 GB Radeon card I can run two video streams at once while I surf the web. The chip is a workhorse and rarely bogs down without insane cooling.

    Excellent extreme low budget cpu

    Performs decently for an older cpu. Able to run games smoothly when paired with a good GPU. Runs hotter than I would like which forced me to buy a bigger cpu cooler. Can't beat the performance you get out of this cpu for 20 bucks though.
