Good for budget pc
Very good cpu for low budget pc gaming. Stable cpu, high performance. I Overclocked to 3ghz and it's stable (Overclocked to 3,5ghz and stable, but use more watts and that's why i can't use 3,5ghz) use low wattages as factory settings. This with gtx 750 ti 2gb and 16gb ddr2 dualchannel ram results: Csgo high preset :160fps Gta v normal preset: 34fps (some fps drops) Minecraft: 300fps Very stable and run new games normal/high.Very good cpu for low budget pc gaming. AMD Phenom II 920 Quad Core
The AMD Phenom II quad core is a great CPU that has all of the features any perons would be looking for and AM2+ socket and related chipset. Teh CPU runs consistently 5-6 degrees Celcius cooler than there brother 940 and up, but really there is no difference in performance. Performance is similar to Intel Q8200 Quad Core Pentium 4 chipset and still allows Windows XP users the capability of 32 bit operations that may be lacking in Intel's iX series. Note: The AMD 920 and similar models ending in zero will fit in the AMD2+ socket. There is a 1 pin difference that makes them incompatible with AM3 sockets. If the chipset supports it, the 920 can work with DDR2 as well as DDR3 memory, while the 925, 945 and related AM3 socket CPU's are strictly dedicated for DDR3 RAM.The AMD Phenom II quad core is a great CPU that has all of the features any perons would be looking for and AM2+ socket and related chipset. New Life for a old Machine
I bought this processor to work on Gigabyte GA-MA790x-UD4P motherboard with 16 Gigs of Samsung DDR2-800 Memory. That combo did not fly. Instead I had an old XFX-750a with 8 Gigs of Patriot DDR2-800 memory. That combo worked very well. I'm using it now. The only cautions I would raise is check the memory be sure it works with the processor and be sure to start with your CMOS cleared. If you are just upgrading your processor -- your memory should be just fine.
