    Best CD Player ever!

    Sony hit a home run years ago when they rolled out the D-E220 series. I have purchased a number of different players for my family, but the Sony brand was the only kind that worked well, and the E-D220 was the best model they produced. The controls are so well placed that the player can be used in the dark (by kids who are supposed to be sleeping...) or by my mother, who was blind. When paused the player stops running, thus saving battery life, and it resumes play right where it leaves off. I just paid a fortune for an unused, still-in-the-package version, but it is worth it to have a "new" one. I wish that Sony would make these again!

    Useful For Person with Low Vision

    I bought this for my mom, she has Macular Degeneration and listens to books on CD. Over the years she had had a few of these Sony Walkmans and she knows control placement and they are familiar and easy for her to operate. With electronic devices the Walkman is fast becoming obsolete. I have purchased a new CD player for her but find the quality very low and operating buttons impossible for her to locate and use. This serves the purpose for which she needs it.

    I PURCHASED ONE BECAUSE MY ORIGINAL HAD CRACKED OR BROKEN PARTS. STILL WORKED BUT HAD TO KEEP IT CLOSED WITH TAPE. MANY YOUNG PEOPLE KID ME WHEN THEY SEE IT. THEY TELL ME IT IS ANCIENT TECHNOLOGY. I AM 75 AND THINK IT IS STATE OF THE ART.
