  • It's a BEAST.

This the best value in gaming right now. Yeah, yeah, the GTX 5XX series is out, but all that does is make the GTX 400 series priced just right. Now you're getting DX11 power in an affordable price range. And tell people to just hush about the heat. I have it overclocked to 700 core`0 shader}0 memory and it doesn't get over 65C while gaming. I think some people don't have enough ventilation to keep this thing cool. I say if you can get one for right around $200, do it, you'll be set for another 1 - 2 yrs. And don't forget that this card came out this year, so it's not "old" tech. Happy gaming.

  • Best GPU for Adobe applications and editing.

I am happy with the GTX graphics cards, while its not the top of the line, it does serves the purpose, great speed for games and great card for adobe application specially for video editing using the Adobe Mercury playback engine, exclusively available only on Nvidia's GPU with CUDA cores. Now my video production workflow is a notch higher and Im enjoying my workflow more than ever before.

  • One excellent video card

For the price, I can't think of any competition for this card. I use it in a video editing/effects workstation and it's performance so far has been superb. There are faster cards- but bring your wallet. I don't game- but I make some effects for games and I'm sure if it works for me- it'll work for you. I haven't SLI'd this card, but I don't see why you'd need to (unless you want dual 3-D monitors---which would be cool)

  • This thing Sucks

Well When i got mine it did not work... at all. It would not even power up into the bios and show the gui so that I could use my computer. Bought a GTX 580 highly recommend that one.

  • well......ok.

I did not win this video card, but the bottom line its a great videocard. When NVIDIA launched the first wave of GF100-based graphics cards in late march, the initial GeForce GTX 400 series line-up which we took a look at here consisted of only two cards, the flagship GeForce GTX 480 and its somewhat less powerful counterpart, the GeForce GTX 470 (reviewed here). Since then, NVIDIA has augmented the GeForce GTX 400 series line-up with the more affordable GeForce GTX 465 as well.
